Steve Kinser's #11

We headed down to “speed week 2010″ in central Florida and got a chance to watch some dirt track racing at the Volusia Speedway.   We opted to pay $1.00 more and sit in the pit grand stands.  Good seats  as well as great access to stroll around the pit area.  Joey, my daughters “BF” is also a hard core race fan and decided to get the new Steve Kinser t-shirt since he is now on the Tony Stewart Race Team running the white Bass Pro #11 sprint car.  His teamate, is North Dakota Favorite and 4 time WOO sprint car champion Donny Schatz.

As luck would have it for Kinser, he won on 2-7-10 so Joey got to have is new t-shirt autographed by the King.  Joey’s all smiles, like a kid in a candy shop.  His only complaint was now he probably wouldn’t ever wear the shirt since the “King” signed it.  All in all, it was a great night of racing.  We also got to go the following night for the 39th annual Dirtcar Nationals on championiship night to watch Jared Landers go from the back, starting 28th to win the 30 lap feature.  That was some impressive modified driving to watch especially considering there was only 3 cautions, one of which was on the starting lap.
