Some fine tuning was accomplished at test n tune on 5-3-11 at the Sheyenne River Speedway. The Pizza Ranch sponsored, Dakota Engine Builders powered Wissota midwest modified got in about 50 laps or so.
The dry slick track conditions proved to be optimal for fine tuning the 1s machine. The new Wissota Hoosiers are perhaps, a softer tire, that appears to offer more traction but also burn up pretty good. (or maybe the drivers foot needs help)
The Scott Bintz Racing teams hopes to get to the I-94 Speedway opener this Friday and then where ever mother nature takes us, which could be the Viking Speedway, North Central Speedway or perhaps home.
- New Wissota Hoosier Tires at 50 Laps

Here are a few ideas for the promoters and the board.
Business 101: If you don’t take care of your customers, someone else will. Wissota customers include the tracks, drivers and fans.
If Wissota is losing tracks it’s because we are not taking care of the customers. We had better find out why and fix it. Big companies that go down, lose sight of their customer’s needs. The attitude changes from what can we for you to “Hey customer this is how it is”. Wissota has done a lot for racing over the years, I would hate to see it go the way of Atari. We should be attracting more tracks and growing if we are doing things right. Continue reading »

Here’s a video of the car in action.
A few weeks ago, I got a chance to race in southern Minnesota at a few tracks that raced both Wissota and USRA race cars. Going from track to track and I was a little envious watching the USRA a-mods and b-mods change their gears. The quick change gears which are allowed by USRA but not allowed by Wissota for the midwest modified and a-modified classes would ultimately be easier on the racer and cost less money over time. But that’s just my thoughts and I could be wrong. So I created a poll. Let me know what you think?
Should Wissota allow quick change gears? (My understanding is the promoters of Wissota ultimately are the ones that can make suggestions to be voted on by the other promoters. Perhaps is enough people vote, a few promoters might consider putting it up to a vote.)
Wissota promotors association has mailed out the 2010 Wissota Rule Book in the last few weeks.
The 2010 Wissota Rules and Procedures can be downloaded on the Wissota website and for your convenience you can also download a copy here. It has all the latest rules for all classes including Wissota street stocks, Wissota Midwest Modified, Wissota Super Stocks, Wissota Modified and Wissota Late Models.
